We’re Cheryl & Chris and this is our family — the people behind Family Haven Hospitality.
What started as a dream to create a place where families could truly reconnect has grown into homes designed around togetherness, comfort, laughter, and making memories that stick long after vacation ends.
As parents and grandparents ourselves, we know family trips are about so much more than just having a place to sleep. They’re about late-night conversations in the hot tub, kids racing to the game room in pajamas, coffee on the deck while deer wander through the trees, and finally slowing down enough to actually enjoy being together.
That’s why we’ve tried to think through the little things at both Adventure Haven and The Pleasant Pause — from spaces where the whole group can gather, to cozy corners where you can sneak away for quiet moments too.
One of our favorite parts of creating these homes has been making them feel truly special and personal. The Pleasant Pause was thoughtfully designed by our daughter-in-law, Catherine (“Cat”), whose creativity and eye for detail helped bring so much warmth, comfort, and personality into the space. Guests often comment on how inviting, fun, and beautifully designed the home feels, and we love that her thoughtful touches became such a meaningful part of the experience.
We’re not a large vacation rental company with dozens of homes. We intentionally keep things personal. If something needs attention during your stay, we respond quickly because we genuinely care about your experience.
Our goal is simple:
To create homes where families can reconnect, relax, laugh loudly, and leave with memories they’ll talk about for years.
